The Birth Trauma Model from Vulva Enterprise depicts various classifications of birth lacerations.

 

It is the perfect conversation piece for midwives and doctors and a great tool when talking with patients about the anatomy of the vulva and perineum, and repair of birth lacerations.
The Vulva Triangles are also used for training medical professionals.

 

The model alleviates the embarrassment and discomfort some patients may experience, and is particularly useful when language barriers are an issue.

Developed by midwife, PhD Sara Kindberg and Urogynecologist Karl Møller Bek, in collaboration with designer Lise Bønæs.
